Winch Principle

Winch principle

To put it simply, the working mechanism inside the winch is that the electric power from the car firstly drives the motor, then the motor drives the drum to rotate, the drum drives the driving shaft, and the driving shaft drives the planetary gear to generate powerful torque. The torque is then transmitted back to the drum, which drives the drum. There is a clutch between the motor and reducer that can be turned on and off by a handlebar. Brake unit in the drum, when the noose tension, the drum will automatically lock.

In practice, some auxiliary items are indispensable for safe and smooth use of the winch, such as gloves to protect hands. In addition, if you want to secure the winch in a tree, you also need a strap, a u-shaped lug and a tight-line pulley. The strap is used to fix the fulcrum. The ideal length of 1.5 meters to 2 meters; u-shaped lugs can hook and belt and winch connected. So it is best to prepare several sizes of lifting lugs; with two or three lines to change the direction of the drag, you need a tight line pulley.
